Manuela Wiesinger-Grabmer Controlling in tourism
Manuela Wiesinger-Grabmer

After the commercial academy and an apprenticeship in a tax adviser’s office, Manuela Wiesinger-Grabmer started off in the hotel industry. In 1989 she gathered her first hotel experience in the headoffice of Austrotel in the castle Rif. Until 1993 she worked as a financial controller for the Club Aldiana, with international commitments in (Turkey, Tunisia and Switzerland). Taking the opportunity to manage the pre-opening and opening of the Ramada Hotel Linz (now: Courtyard by Marriott Hotel), Manuela Wiesinger-Grabmer returned to Austria and established the financial controlling until 1996. Afterwards she continued her career as the commercial director in the hotel Greif, until a common pilot-project with Kohl & Partner in 1997 led her to the idea of establishing the Controlling Service GmbH.

For over ten years Manuela Wiesinger-Grabmer attends and coaches tourism companies in Austria, South Tyrol and Germany in the field of controlling. Budgeting, adaptation of the financial accounting in line with USALI and STAHR, installation and development of controlling systems, assistance in pre-opening and especially the communication and cooperation of controllers with all other divisions in the hotel, like e.g. sales & marketing, are especially important to her.

Additional training courses at the University of Cornell, Ithaca, New York (2000) and at the MCI Innsbruck (2002/2003) amplify her long-lasting practical experience in hotel-controlling. Recently, Manuela Wiesinger-Grabmer started her MBA-studies in order to further deepen her knowledge.
